TEA Project Monthly Report — Sept 1, 2023
Happy September! We’re thrilled to share a couple of exciting updates with you from our end.
Alpha Release with Billing Functionality
We’re in the final stages before unveiling the TEA Project alpha release. After months of hard work, we’ve successfully resolved all the technical issues that had been hindering our progress. The alpha version will be deployed on the testnet, without the issuance of real tokens. All TApps will now be accurately billed based on CPU instructions. Unlike previous versions that had a rough estimation of billing, TEA consumption will now be calculated akin to how ETH gas fees are determined. Furthermore, the Alpha release will offer users the opportunity to earn testnet TEA by quoting and retweeting. Stay tuned for more details about the Alpha release.
Techsprint 2023 Hackathon
As mentioned in our July update, TEA Project took part in the Techsprint 2023 Hackathon, a collaborative initiative between the G20 Presidency and the BIS Innovation Hub. (Learn more at: https://www.bis.org/about/bisih/topics/suptech_regtech/techsprint.htm). We submitted a TEA App designed to address the cross-border payment challenge posed by the Bank of International Settlement Innovation Center. We’re honored to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the final round. We’ve already prepared a demo of our app, and the ultimate presentation is scheduled for September 4, 2023. You can find more details about our solution on this page: techsprint2023.teaproject.org. Let’s rally behind the TEA Project and wish TEA Project the best of luck.
